Monitoring & Management

24/7 visibility of everything that runs

Outages rarely come out of nowhere — there are almost always warning signs first. IT Spine monitors your servers, workstations, network and backups 24/7. We spot anomalies early, step in before users notice anything and report clearly on what's going on.

In brief

What 24/7 monitoring actually looks like

Equipment rarely breaks without warning. A disk reports read errors first, a backup skips one night first, a server runs at ninety percent memory for weeks first. The problem isn't that the signals aren't there — the problem is that nobody is looking at them. Monitoring is, at heart, nothing more than looking at them anyway, every minute, at night as well.

On every server and workstation a small piece of software reports how things stand: disk space, memory, temperature, running services, failed sign-ins, the state of the updates. Network equipment and cloud environments deliver their own alerts. All of those signals come to us, not to you. We decide what deserves an alert and what is noise — otherwise, sooner or later, nobody looks at any of it.

Management also means rolling out updates. Those go to a small group first, then to the rest, and outside working hours wherever possible — because an update that breaks a program is something you want to discover on ten devices, not a hundred. What you see of it is a report: what came up, what we fixed, and what is due for replacement in the period ahead.

Sound familiar?

Four situations we run into often at companies that approach us.

  • 01You hear from your own staff that something is broken. Never from your IT provider, and never before it broke.
  • 02The backup is switched on, but nobody can say for certain when something was last actually restored from it.
  • 03Updates get postponed because they start in the middle of the day and everybody has to reboot right then.
  • 04There is no overview at all of what is running: how many servers, how old they are, how much space is left.

In practice

One view across all your systems

We work from a single management environment: tickets, devices, backups and alerts side by side. You get the summary, we do the work.

Recreated view of a management console. Customer data never appears in examples.

What you get

Included

  • Continuous monitoring of servers, workstations, network equipment and cloud services for availability, capacity and health
  • Alerts come to us and are picked up by us — not forwarded to a mailbox that you have to read
  • Checks on backup results: whether the job ran, whether it finished, and whether it was complete
  • Security updates planned and rolled out, in stages and outside working hours wherever possible
  • Regular reporting on uptime, incidents and equipment approaching the end of its life

Not included

  • The equipment itself: we see replacement coming and advise on it, but buying it runs separately and stays in your name
  • A security operations centre watching and blocking attacks live — that is a different service from monitoring health and availability
  • Third-party software that doesn't report anything useful can only be watched from the outside: is it still running, does it still respond

Better clear up front than a discussion afterwards. Not sure whether something falls within your agreement? Just ask.
